Q. Will my routing number change?

A. Your existing routing number will continue to function after the conversion. Beginning October 14, you can use your existing routing number or Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s routing number: 011201759.

Q. Will my account number change?

A. In most cases, your account number will not change. If a change is necessary, we’ll notify you directly.

Q. I get Social Security or other direct deposits. What do I need to do to make sure those continue?

A. For now, there’s nothing you have to do, your direct deposits will continue as usual. If any future account number changes are needed, you will receive communication from us well in advance so you can update your direct deposit information.

Q. Can I still use my Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank checks?

A. Yes. Your Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank checks will be honored after conversion on October 14, 2025. You may continue using your existing checks until your supply is depleted, even after your accounts have transitioned to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. If your account number changes, we will provide you with new checks.

Q. What will happen to my account number? Will this impact my checks?

A. In a majority of cases, account numbers will remain unchanged. If your account number does need to be updated, we will contact you directly in early September and will provide you with new checks.

Q. What happens if I run out of checks?

A. If you run out of checks prior to October 14, we can help you re-order Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank checks. If you run out of checks after October 14, we can help you order Bar Harbor Bank & Trust checks. You can also order checks via Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank’s website or online and mobile banking before October 14, or via Bar Harbor Bank & Trusts website or online and mobile banking after October 14.

Q. Can I pre-order Bar Harbor Bank & Trust checks?

A. There is no need to pre-order Bar Harbor Bank & Trust checks as you can continue to use your Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank checks until they are depleted. If you wish to order Bar Harbor Bank & Trust checks, you can do so on or after October 14, 2025.

Q. Can I keep using my Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank debit card?

A. You will receive a new Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Debit Mastercard^® before conversion and you can start using your new debit card on October 13, 2025. Your current Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank debit card can be used until that time. 

Q. Will I get a Bar Harbor Bank & Trust debit card?

A. Yes. You will receive a new Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Debit Mastercard^® before conversion. Once received, you can activate your new card right away and you can begin using it on October 13, 2025.

Q. Can I keep using my Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank online and mobile banking¹?

A. You can continue to use Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Online and Mobile Banking until conversion. Starting October 14, 2025, you’ll be able to access your accounts through Bar Harbor Online and Bar Harbor Mobile¹.

Q. How will I log into Bar Harbor Online and Bar Harbor Mobile for the first time?

A. You can log into Bar Harbor Online and Bar Harbor Mobile for the first time on October 14, 2025. Full instructions for first-time log in will be included in the Welcome Kit arriving in September.

Q. Will my username and password for online banking change?

A. Most customers will be able to log in to Bar Harbor Online and Bar Harbor Mobile using their current username and password. If a change to your username or password is necessary, we’ll notify you directly.

Q. What will happen to my Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank accounts?

A. Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank officially became Bar Harbor Bank & Trust on August 1, 2025, and you are now a Bar Harbor Bank & Trust customer. At this time, you can continue banking as you do today. For now, you can continue to use Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Online Banking, checks, and debit cards.

On October 14, 2025, your accounts will transition to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust products. We will mail you a Welcome Kit in September with detailed information and next steps to help you prepare for October 14.

Q. What will happen leading up to account conversion on October 14?

A. On October 14, your accounts will convert to Bar Harbor Bank & Trust products. Our teams will be working to convert accounts during the weekend of October 11 to 13, 2025, and will do everything possible to minimize disruption for you.

Until October 14, you can continue to bank as you do today. In September, we will send you a Welcome Kit detailing what to expect when your accounts convert and any actions you need to take.

Q. Who should I contact with questions about my Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank accounts and services?

A. You can contact your local Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank location or Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank’s Customer Service Center at 603-747-2735 for assistance.

Q. Where will I do my banking in the future?

A. Once account conversion is complete in October, customers will have access to 30 Bar Harbor Bank & Trust locations throughout New Hampshire, over 30 Bar Harbor Bank & Trust locations in Maine and Vermont, as well as Bar Harbor Bank & Trust ATMs, Bar Harbor Mobile, Bar Harbor Online, telephone banking, and our Customer Service Center. Q. I have deposit accounts at Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank and Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. How does FDIC deposit coverage work?

A. For the six months immediately following August 1, 2025, any funds previously held at Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank will be separately insured from any accounts previously held at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. The FDIC will insure each portion of deposits for $250,000. Remember that deposits held at a bank in different “ownership categories” — such as joint, single, and retirement accounts — are separately insured to at least $250,000. For example, after the transition, you could have up to $250,000 in single accounts and up to $250,000 in your share of joint accounts and still be fully insured.

Depending on the products and services you use, you may also receive additional mailings with more specific information. A. Yes, all branches will remain open with the same hours. You’ll continue to see the same familiar faces at your local branch after the merger is complete.
