James Cox holds the position of VP, Wealth Manager at Bar Harbor Wealth Management. He joined the organization in 2019 and works in our Bangor, Maine office.
Jim earned his undergraduate degree at University of Notre Dame before obtaining his law degree from DePaul University. He is a member of the Maine Bar with many years of experience as a practicing attorney. Additionally, he was previously appointed and confirmed as a Workers Compensation Commissioner, serving a full term for the state. With over two decades of experience in the financial industry, Jim provides trust expertise to his clients.
In the past, Jim has volunteered as a member of the Bangor City Council and Bangor City School Board. He has also supported a number of community nonprofit organizations as a board or committee member.
