Hattie A. & Fred C. Lynam Trust Awards $140,000 to Mount Desert Island Organizations

Bar Harbor, Maine - Bar Harbor Wealth Management is pleased to announce that, through the Hattie A. & Fred C. Lynam Trust, $140,000 has been awarded to 44 organizations serving the people of Mount Desert Island. The Lynam Trust, managed by Bar Harbor Wealth Management, was established in 1942 and awards grants annually to charitable, religious, and educational organizations located on MDI. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Pledges $7,500 to Lubec Memorial Library

Lubec, Maine - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has pledged $7,500 to support Lubec Memorial Library’s Community Room Expansion and Digital Upgrade project. The project will increase the available space and seating capacity for community events and provide much-needed presentation and videoconferencing technology. The Bank recently presented the first $2,500 installment of the pledge to the library and will provide an additional $2,500 per year over the next two years. Read more.

The recipients of the donations are: Boys & Girls Club of Souhegan Valley (New Hampshire); Family Violence Project (Maine); NeighborWorks of Western Vermont (Vermont); Partners for Peace (Maine); Regional Medical Center at Lubec (Maine); and Women for Healthy Rural Living (Maine). Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Makes Significant Contribution and Long-Term Commitment to the Maine Lobstermen’s Association

Brandon, Vermont - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has pledged $10,000 to support the Brandon Free Public Library’s (BFPL) capital campaign to make significant upgrades and improvements to the library including increased accessibility for all persons to all library spaces, expanded usable space, improved energy efficiency, compliance with safety standards, and preservation of the historic integrity of the building. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Donates $3,000 to New London Conservation Commission’s Project to Upgrade Philbrick-Cricenti Bog Boardwalk

New London, New Hampshire - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust recently donated $3,000 to the New London Conservation Commission to support the organization’s efforts to improve the safety of the Philbrick-Cricenti Bog boardwalk. For phase 1 of the project, the commission upgraded the first 350 feet of the boardwalk from wooden planks to an all-weather, anti-slip, aluminum walkway. The funds from the Bank will be used for phase 2 of the project, which will extend the walkway to the floating bog mat. Read more.
