Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has made donations to two Vermont non-profit organizations to help them deliver their adult education programs remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic. Central Vermont Adult Basic Education (CVABE) and Vermont Adult Learning (VAL) each received $1,500 donations to provide distance learning technology for low-income, adult education students to continue with their educational programs, which include GED and high school diploma. Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust is donating the proceeds collected in Q1 2020 from its employee-driven charitable giving program, Casual for a Cause, to ten non-profits providing assistance to those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic in Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. More than $11,000 is being donated through the program, which pools employee contributions collected each quarter and distributes them to non-profits selected by and voted on by the employees. Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has added walk-up teller windows to our Newport, Nashua, and Peterborough, New Hampshire, branches to increase service capacity for customers. To help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and accordance with New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu’s “stay-at-home” order, all Bar Harbor Bank & Trust in New Hampshire locations transitioned to drive-up and lobby by-appointment only services last month. These three locations do not have drive-up windows, the Bank built and installed exterior walk-up teller windows to help customers complete their in-person banking transactions in the safest manner possible. Bar Harbor, Maine – In an effort to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) and consistent with many other banking institutions in our region, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust will temporarily transition all branch services to drive-up only service beginning on March 20. This will allow the Bank to continue to provide full banking services, and in-person visits will be by appointment only in order to enable the Bank to conform to social distancing practices through limiting the number of customers inside at any given time. Bar Harbor, Maine – Bar Harbor Bank & Trust announces the 27th Annual David R. Harding Memorial Golf Tournament will be played on Wednesday, June 3, 2020, at Kebo Valley Golf Club in Bar Harbor. The fun and friendly competition raises thousands of dollars each year for non-profit organizations supporting the residents of Mount Desert Island, Maine.
