Bar Harbor, Maine (January 8, 2026) - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust recently donated $5,000 to help support the efforts of five local food pantries working to improve food security for residents of Hancock County. The Bank donated $1,000 to each of the following nonprofit organizations: Bar Harbor Food Pantry, Common Good Soup Kitchen, Emmaus Homeless Shelter, Loaves & Fishes Food Pantry, and Schoodic Food Pantry.
As part of its efforts for Giving Tuesday, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust pledged to match, dollar for dollar, up to $1,000 in donations to each of the food pantries from December 1-12, 2025. Each of the five food pantries raised more than $1,000 in donations to ensure they received the Bank’s matching funds.
