Mike Del Tergo, CAIA, CIMA, CFA, CFTA holds the position of SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager at Bar Harbor Wealth Management. He joined the organization in January 2026 and works in our Portland, Maine, office.
Mike graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from Boston University and earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Northeastern University. He also holds several professional accreditations, including a Chartered Trust and Fiduciary Advisor certification from Cannon Financial Institute, and his Certified Investment Management Analyst certificate from the Wharton School. Furthermore, Mike is a Chartered Financial Analyst and a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst.
Mike has more than three decades of experience in the financial industry, most of which he has spent managing investment portfolios for Maine banks. He worked as a U.S.-based economist for Canada’s Department of Finance, and spent more than 15 years as an SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager for Key Private Bank. And for the past 12 years, he served as an SVP, Senior Portfolio Manager at Bangor Savings Bank, specializing in management of complex trusts, non-profit endowments, and institutional fixed income accounts.
A board member of the Maine CFA Society, Mike is also an investment committee member with Maine Audubon, and has served in a variety of board roles with Sweetser, a nonprofit community mental health provider.
