Bar Harbor, Maine (July 12, 2023) - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has awarded the Bank’s 2023 Career & Technical Education Scholarship to nine recent high school graduates from Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. The $1,000 award is presented to students who attended a technical career program as part of their high school curriculum and are planning to attend college or a technical school after graduation.
This year’s scholarship recipients will be eligible to apply for an additional $1,000 next year to be used toward a second year of college or technical school.
The 2023 scholarship recipients are:
Maryssa Cavallaro of Bath, Maine, is a graduate of Morse High School and attended Bath Regional Career & Technical Center. She plans to study social work at the University of Maine.
Lindsey Cook of Canaan, New Hampshire, is a graduate of Mascoma Valley Regional High School and attended Hartford Area Career & Technology Center. She plans to study cosmetology at Aveda Institute.
Hannah Edwards of Washington, New Hampshire, is a graduate of Hillsboro-Deering High School and attended Concord Regional Technical Center. She plans to study history and education at Suffolk University.
Rachel Endre of Lamoine, Maine, is a graduate of Ellsworth High School and attended Hancock County Technical Center. She plans to study criminal justice at Eastern Maine Community College.
Colin Gagner of Fairlee, Vermont, is a graduate of Rivendell Academy and attended Hartford Area Career & Technology Center. He plans to study illustration at Rochester Institute of Technology.
Annabelle Hackett of Ellsworth, Maine, is a graduate of Ellsworth High School and attended Hancock County Technical Center. She plans to study marketing at Husson University.
Ashlynn Hamel of Wilder, Vermont, is a graduate of Hartford High School and attended Hartford Area Career & Technology Center. She plans to study cosmetology at Keene Beauty School or Northeast School of Hair Design.
Sienna Ingalls of East Machias, Maine, is a graduate of Machias Memorial High School and attended Coastal Washington County Institute of Technology. She plans to study health science/EMS at Southern Maine Community College.
Alaska Marzilli of Orono, Maine, is a graduate of Orono High School and attended United Technology Center. She plans to study bio med at University of New England.
