Randolph, Vermont (August 22, 2023) - Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has donated $2,000 to Chandler Center for the Arts to support young people who require financial assistance to participate in Chandler’s youth theater programs. The donation helps further Chandler’s mission “to strengthen and energize the community, to deepen the cultural and artistic growth of youth, to offer opportunities for people to come together in celebration of the arts, to inspire and cultivate artistic expression and education in the performing and visual arts for people of all ages and incomes.”
“Chandler Center for the Arts is a beloved institution in our community and offers fantastic opportunities for young people to embrace the arts and learn important life skills in the process,” said Nikki Ware, Branch Relationship Manager at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. “We are proud to partner with Chandler to extend those opportunities to young people who require financial assistance to fully participate in the program.”
Built in 1906, Chandler Center for the Arts features a 575-seat theater, an open-loft performance space, and an art gallery. Chandler hosts dozens of live musical events each year as well as other performances including comedy, spoken word, theater, and family entertainment. In addition to hosting performances, Chandler Center for the Arts offers various arts programming including a youth theater program that features a summer musical, Teen Camp, and Chorus Camp. Bar Harbor Bank & Trust’s donation provides financial aid to local youth who wish to participate in the program but do not have the financial means to do so.
