Eight Bar Harbor Bank & Trust Employees Recognized by the Bank’s Chairman of the Board and Senior Executive Team for Extraordinary Leadership

Bar Harbor, Maine (May 23, 2024) - Eight Bar Harbor Bank & Trust employees were recently recognized for their extraordinary leadership at the Bank’s annual Chairman’s Dinner and Celebration, held May 17 in Bar Harbor, Maine. Presented by the Bank’s outgoing Chairman of the Board of Directors, David Woodside, and the Bank’s Senior Executive Team, the Chairman’s Award and Emerging Leader Award honor employees who have played key roles in helping the Bank achieve its strategic goals and delivering positive outcomes for customers and fellow colleagues.

The Chairman’s Award, which is the event’s highest honor, was presented to Kevin Harwick, Senior Vice President Asset Liability Manager, and Sonya Mitchell, Senior Vice President Managing Director of Bar Harbor Financial Services. The winners are selected by the Chairman of the Board of Directors in recognition of their consistent display of the Bank’s brand behaviors, strategic thinking, perseverance, and ability to motivate.

Kevin joined the Bank in 2022 and has spearheaded the Bank’s evolving liquidity modeling. He was instrumental in helping the Bank manage its liquidity position throughout the prior year's market turbulence. Sonya has been with the Bank for 24 years and leads the Bar Harbor Financial Services team, consistently delivering results that surpass expectations while partnering with divisions throughout the organization.

The Emerging Leader Award was presented to six high-performing employees who demonstrate strong leadership skills and significant potential for growth in the organization. The recipients of the 2024 Emerging Leader Award are:

• Kirstie Carter, Corporate Clerk & Director of Environmental, Social, and Governance. She joined the Bank in 2011 and is located in Bar Harbor, Maine.
• Rebecca Emerson, Vice President, Branch Relationship Manager for the Bank’s locations in Blue Hill and Deer Isle, Maine. She joined the Bank in 2002.
• Shelly Griswold, Vice President, Branch Relationship Manager for the Bank’s locations in Claremont, Hillsborough, and Newport, New Hampshire. She joined the Bank in 2006.
• Jamie Haining, Vice President, Merchant Services Team Lead & Treasury Sales Officer. She joined the Bank in 2019 and is located in Palmyra, Maine.
• Jared Petrizzi, Financial Consultant at Bar Harbor Financial Services. He joined the Bank in 2018 and is located in West Lebanon, New Hampshire.
• Jacklyn Sinclair, Assistant Branch Manager for the Bank’s location in Ellsworth, Maine. She joined the Bank in 2012.
