Jack Henry, our partner that provides the Bar Harbor Online and Bar Harbor Mobile platforms, is releasing a new terms of use for everyone that uses its online and mobile banking platform. Jack Henry periodically update their Terms of Use due to new functionality, new legal requirements, new security standards, and more. The new terms will go into effect on Wednesday, February 5, 2025. These updates include:
- Removes the language ‘Banno Online’ and ‘Banno Mobile’;
- Outlines the scope of privacy laws and the end user’s rights with respect to their use of the Digital Online Banking Platform;
- Clarifies the terms “account information” and “registration information”;
- Describes features an end user can enable to use available optional features;
- Clarifies the end user’s rights and responsibilities around unauthorized access and unauthorized use;
- Provides detailed information for the use of the Digital Online Banking Platform on a mobile device, including technical standards and responsibilities for maintaining compatibility of such mobile device with the Digital Online Banking Platform;
- Explains service-related alerts from the Digital Online Banking Platform;
- Clarifies the risks associated with an end user’s use of the Digital Online Banking Platform over a telecommunication provider’s network;
- Describes Jack Henry’s role in the translation of the Digital Online Banking Platform; and
- Provides details around termination and suspension rights for both Jack Henry and an end user.
