About Laurel
Laurel A. Hansen holds the position of VP, Residential Lending Manager at Bar Harbor Bank & Trust. She joined the Bank in 2010 and is based out of our Peterborough, New Hampshire, office.
Laurel has completed coursework through the New England School of Banking. She has extensive experience in the financial services industry, spending over 38 years in a variety of roles. Prior to joining Bar Harbor Bank & Trust, Laurel worked as a bank teller, customer service officer, branch manager, and personal banker. Additionally, Laurel has worked in all aspects of the real estate process including as a Realtor, Real Estate Closing Agent, and Mortgage Loan Originator.
In her current role, Laurel manages a group of dedicated mortgage lenders throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. Her areas of expertise within home lending include working with buyers to finance and homeowners to refinance their home. Laurel works to find the right solution for her customers while leading her mortgage loan origination team. Laurel supports customers throughout the southern New Hampshire region.
An active member of the community, Laurel has served as a Member of the Contoocook Board of Realtors and the Greater Manchester Nashua Board of Realtors.
