Financial Education Resources for Parents

Since 2006, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust has partnered with the American Bankers Association Foundation to provide financial literacy programs to the communities we serve. Those programs, Teach Children to Save & Get Smart about Credit, are nationally recognized, banker-volunteer initiatives sponsored by the ABA Foundation.

Historically, schools have welcomed our colleagues into their classrooms to engage with students and teach them the importance of saving money. As schools transitioned to remote learning environments in response to COVID-19, Bar Harbor Bank & Trust wanted to make financial education resources available to parents.

We look forward to bringing Teach Children to Save & Get Smart about Credit to classrooms when possible and hope families enjoy engaging in personal financial wellness discussions using these ABA Foundation materials until then.
